The Principal is awarded with the José Luis Pinillos Award of Excellence and Innovation and Psychology in the category of ‘Psychologist of the Year’

Mª Vicenta Mestre, Principal of the Universitat de València, will be awarded with the José Luis Pinillos Award of Excellence and Innovation and Psychology in the category of ‘Psychologist of the Year’ by the Spanish Foundation for Science and Professional Promotion of Psychology (Psicofundación) and the Cardenal Cisneros Higher Education Centre. The event will be on Friday 14 December at 1:00 p.m.
The award is given within the framework of the 5th Conference on Psychology Excellence and Innovation and it is promoted by the Spanish General Committee of Psychology (COP), the Ibero-American Federation of Psychology Groups and Schools (FIAP), the Spanish Conference of Psychology Deans (CDPUE) and the Spanish Academy of Psychology.
The teaching, research and professional career of Mª Vicenta Mestre will be highlighted during the event. She is a professor of General Psychology and the first woman to be principal in the Universitat de València in its almost 520 years of history.
