The call for the 2nd edition of the Programme “e2: Estudiante x emprendedor” is now open in Valencia. This initiative is designed by the Santander International Entrepreneurship Centre (SIEC) with the support of Banco Santander. The call has been organised through Santander Universities, and promoted by the Valencian Government and the five public universities in its campus of excellence CH5U.

The ‘ecuadrado’ programme, as students call it, seeks the training of young people coming from any degree so that they can create business initiatives with the support of local entrepreneur. The reception of applications will be open until September 21 and it is intended for undergraduates and postgraduates of any field of knowledge in the Universitat de València.

The bursary will be running simultaneously in the five public Valencian universities: University of Alacant, Universitat de València, Univesitat Politècnica de València, Universitat Jaume I, and Miguel Hernández University of Elche, and it will involve workshops, experiences and teamwork dynamics.

In November, teams coming from the different universities will do the final presentations of their projects in front of their fellow students and the participating entrepreneurs.

University and business connexion

The programme consists of the creation of multidisciplinary teams made up of a student working as a tutor coordinating the other four students from different degrees, and of a business working as a mentor orienting and supporting all the students so they can come up with ideas and make real business proposals.

With this programme, students and entrepreneurs are brought the possibility of living a unique experience: on the one hand, young people are offered competences and skills that contribute to their employability as well as a direct connection to business itself. On the other hand, entrepreneurs are put into dynamic trainings where the latest methodologies are used as well as closer links with young people are built, making it easy for detecting talent for their businesses.
