The Universitat de València takes part in the 84th Madrid Book Fair
Publications of the Universitat de València (PUV) present their editorial news in this great date, considered the principal literary event of the country, which in its last edition exceeded the three million visitors. Until the 15 June, the audience could enjoy publications, book signatures and professional meetings that complete the programme of this book party.

The Universitat de València takes part, another year, in theMadrid Book Fair, that opened its doors last 30 May in ‘El Retiro’ Park and that celebrates its 84th edition. The publisher Publications of the Universitat de València (PUV) participates from the hut 380, situated in the 25C block, in the space of the Science Square and Universities, a consolidate initiative that gathers together academic publishers and scientific institutions with the goal to bring closer general public to knowledge.
The UV participates in this space through theUnion of Spanish University Publishers (UNE), organisation of which it takes part. The fair will also take in, the days 5 and 6 June, the3rd Conference Without books there is no science, organised by the UNE in the Caixabank pavilion, that will highlight the value of books as key tools for scientific dissemination. The encounter will count with the participation of Ibero-American university publishers and specialist in the fields of artificial intelligence, accessibility, open science or the European norm.
Furthermore, on Tuesday 3 June will take place the2nd Meeting of Ibero-American University and Scientific Publishingin the Ibero-American pavilion of the Fair, promoted by UNE and the Latino-American and Caribbean University Publishing Association (EULAC). This event will reflect on the role that science in Spanish and Portuguese takes and its presence in the Ibero-American Cooperation Agenda.
The participation of the Universitat de València is completed with the book signing of authors published by the PUV. The confirm authors are:
- Javier Fernández Galeano,Gestos en la noche. Historias de represión, erotismo y sociabilidad LGTB+ (1971-1979), will be signing on Wednesday 5 June, from 17 to 21h.
- María José Monteagudo Soto,Psicólogas pioneras. Historias de ciencia, feminismo y compromiso social, will be signing on Saturday 7 June, from 11 to 14 h.
- Raúl Rodríguez Ferrándiz,Desinformación y poder. Alquimias de la persuasión, will be signing on Saturday 8 June, from 11 to 14 h.
- Gennadi Kneper,El primer populista: Bakunin y la invención del pueblo, will be signing on Friday 13 June, from 17 to 21 h.
- Raquel Baixauli Romero,La mujer enferma: icono de la modernidad, will be signing on Satuday 14 June, from 11 to 14 h.
