his phase has the  patronage of the Valencia Stock Exchange, the Official College of Economists of Valencia and the Chair of International Finances of the Universitat de València-Banco de Santander.

With this competition the Faculties want to stimulate the study of Economy and Company Economy in young people as well as to award the effort and to potent the academic excellence. The test consists of giving answer to three kinds of exercise structured in: conceptual questions, numerical activities and, finally, the elaboration of a text comment in current economy.

Regarding the prizes, the best ten will be exempt from payment of public price for academic services of the year 2016/2017, if they sign up in one of the two universities to start an official degree. The best 6, will be selected as representatives of the Faculty of Economics of the Universitat de València and the Faculty of Economic and Business Sciences of the Universitat Politècnica de València to compete in the final phase of the VIII edition of the Spanish Olympiad of Economics, which will be celebrated on 22,23 and 24 June, in the Faculty of Economics and Business Sciences of the Universidad de Valladolid.

The tests, which this year are celebrated in the Faculty of Economic and Business Sciences of the Universitat Politècnica de València, have been programmed at 10:30 on the Saturday 16 April in the rooms of the ground floor of the Faculty of Economic and Business Sciences.
