News of a singer-songwriter of lyrics that are reflexive, with elegant acuity, casual, very close, that uses metaphors “from the streets”, happiness and wit to tell stories, as well as knowledge. “We had never played in a stage like the Sapiencia Chapel (we are used to bars and an audience of 50 people), so we aim to take advantage of the space and pay tribute to knowledge and spirit”, points out the founder of the group that begin in the Palau de la Música of València the year 2012... “the first CD, ‘l@s Chatarrer@s del Amor’, was so successful that we decided to call ourselves that way. Now we count with the voices of Sonia and Carmen, who are so important that always sing at the same level as me, and I believe that this differentiate us from other authors”, he says.
Nacho Peredaprofessor of Philosophy, songwriter, author and singer. He says that he believes more “in handmade music that in the tinned”, that he prefers “by hand than in a machine” and the closeness of the small or medium stages in which he can see the musicians he admires and the audience when he is the one playing. Due to this, he defends: “Better a theatre than a stadium and nothing like a city dive that takes care of the artists and its audience. That is priceless”. Because -he claims-, “we have to give value to the culture” understood like “the cultivation of taste, hearing, smell and touch; to know how to listen, speak, read and write for real; to be grateful, appreciate, understand, dance, sing and live with awareness”.
When he is asked about the conflict which is taking place these days in view of the participation in all kind of festivals of US funds KKR with pro-Israeli interests,Nacho Pereda answers openly: “I’m against wars, of those who promote, start and maintain them in any way. I consider war an abomination born out of a lack of awareness of our brotherhood as human beings and an attack against the dignity of the people who suffer from it. Dream, as so many others now and always, with a world in peace”.
A way to understand life that we can always understand through music, lyrics and songs.
