The Nau Gran university programme returns to Gandia for the academic year 2022-23

The university for people over 50 years returns to Gandia within the programme La Nau Gran of the Universitat de València for the academic year 2022-23. The registration period is now open and the draw for places will be held on 9 September.

From next year, Unimajors will become La Nau Gran Gandia, an adaptation of the programme for senior people of the Univesitat de València which, through the vice-principal office of Culture and Society, it pretends to optimize resources and educational quality with the objective of achieving a full academic excellence.

La Nau Gran started in Gandia in the academic year 2007-08 with a Humanities and Social Sciences itinerary. In the academic year 2022-23, the university programme contemplates this same itinerary made up of four courses per year: first year, with Music, Health, Art History and Archaeology; second year with Law, Philosophy, Sociology and Heritage; third year with History, Psychology I, Economics and Literature I; fourth year with Psychology II, Current World, Political Science and Literature II; and in fifth year, Cinema, European Union, Ethics and Economics, and Valencian Art.

In terms of electives, students can choose from a wide range of subjects related to culture, art, heritage, history, languages, liteature and physical exercise.

You can register for La Nau Gran by filling this form. Places for the first course are limited and the draw will be made on 9 September 2022 (Friday) at 12 noon. The only requirement for admission is age, as no previous studies are required.

Those who are left without a place will be able to take the course Espera activa: música y arqueología (Active waiting: music and archaeology), which guarantees them access to the following academic year.
