New edition of (Ins)Pirats pel Botànic: contest of narrative and fast paintings outdoor

Registrations are opened to participate in the contest of narrative and fast painting outdoor organised by the Botanical Garden of the Universitat de València entitled with ‘(Ins)Pirats pel Botànic’. The participation in this event-contest, that takes place on 2nd June, is for free and it is supplemented by the realization of three workshops of art creation of the weeks before.

The third edition of  (Ins)Pirats pel Botànic  counts again on two categories in which participants, apart from having a great day outdoor in company or alone, they will have to get seduced by the Garden to guide the stroke of their brushes, choice the colours or search the perfect words. The aim of the project is simple: people who want to dedicate a short instant of their life in inspiring by all that the Botanic offers.

In the painting category, the topic will be focused on the Botanical Garden. It will be allow any related aspect (trees, landscape, walks, corners, views...) and the technique is free. The narrative category is also around the Garden. The contest day will be public the three words that will have to be included in the stories. Participants will be able to access to an area of the library to consult books related to the Garden and botany. They also will receive a short talk to know its history and collections.

At the same day of the contest, after the event, a jury will decide the winner works, that will take a cash prize. In addition, there will be an exhibition of the selected painting works in the Hort de Tramoieres Room of the Botanical Garden.

The celebration of the contest of fast painting and narrative complements with the realization of three workshops of art creation: a workshop of creative and short writing with Nacho Meseguer (18 and 19 May), a workshop of botanical image with watercolour with Alicia Malesani (12 and 19 May) and a workshop of drawing for children with Maria García (27 May).
