The new Senate elects representatives for the governing bodies of the Universitat
This Tuesday, 14th of December, we constituted the Senate, which was elected in the process of total renovation established in our Statutes. After its formation, the Senate elected the representative members of PDI (teaching and research staff), PAS (administration and service staff) and students in the governing bodies of the Universitat de València.

Gathered intheAula Magna of the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, the Senate of theUniversitat de Valènciamet this Tuesday morning, 14th of December, to constitute itself as a body after its total renovation established in the Statutes.
Firstly,the board of the Senate was elected, choosingCarlos Herrero Martínez andPau Ibáñez Pastor, on behalf of students; Josefa Tolosa Chelós andAlfonso Martínez Escandell for the non-doctor PDI or without permanent link; Maria Pilar Serra Añó andAlicia Villar Arguilés were automatically proclaimed to representthe doctor PDI with permanent link, sincethe same number of candidacies and vacancies was presented; andJosep Vicent Sala Siscar, for the PAS.
Subsequently, representatives of other bodies such as the Governing Council, the Claims Committee, the Statutes Committee and the Teaching Staff Committee were elected.
The Senate elected, as representatives inthe Governing Council,Sergio Maruenda Bataller, Enric Valor i Micó, Ana María Gómez Tafalla, Emilia Ferrer García, Inmaculada García Robles, Francisco Miguel Martínez Arnau, Pedro Cillero Salomón, Marcela Jabbaz Churba andJesús Olavarría Iglesia, on behalf of the permanentPDI; andMaría Ángeles Serrano Mendizábal andDaniel Tordera Salvador, for the group of non-doctor PDI or without permanent link.
To represent students,Rocío Briet Reyes, Jaume Espadà Guillén, Alejandro Navarro García, Valeria Ruiz García andÁfrica Vercher Ballester will be part of the GoverningCouncil.
Among the PAS,Carles Xavier López Benedí, José Francisco Martínez Pastor andLaura Coscollá Pascual were elected as members of the Governing Council.
