This year the visits of the Get to know the University programme (Conèixer la Universitat), organised by the University of Valencia to show future students the training and services offered, will be held in a completely online format due to COVID-19 restrictions. Professors, students and technical staff of the University have collaborated on this initiative to bring the University and secondary schools closer together. It is available at https://www.uv.es/coneixer/2021.

The thematic page Conèixer la Universitat 2021 gathers in a single portal the online visits with information resources about the degrees offered at the University of Valencia, as well as other information of interest to new students. All those who have to choose higher education studies are invited to:

  • Attend the University’s information sessions about the degrees offered by each centre. Many of your doubts will be answered.
  • Take an audiovisual tour of the centres, accompanied by students of the University that have developed guided audiovisual visits to show you the spaces and campuses.
  • Browse the drop-down menu that includes the most important information on each of the degrees offered: description, profile, practical information, credits, cut-off marks, weightings, etc.

So far, the information sessions given by professors and technical staff from each of the University's centres have had over 5,800 views and the guided visits by students have had almost 4,500. Both resources are available in the video section of the thematic page.

Visits to the 25th edition of the Get to know the University programme are organised by the SeDi Information and Promotion Service, together with every centre and service of the University, the Bureau of Institutional Communication and the Website and Marketing Unit, and promoted by the Office of the Vice-Principal for Employment and Training Services, the Office of the Vice-Principal of Studies and Language Policy and the student council branch.
