The vice-rectorate for Occupation and Training Programmes has opened the call for grants for the production of teaching material in MOOC formats and OCW subjects. This call aims to develop the commitment to the dissemination of knowledge with the publication of teaching material of subjects of the degrees of the Universitat and, in particular, through a strong promotion of online training. This online training is done mainly through MOOC courses, but also in other more specific modalities that can be adapted to the needs of the Universitat and to the cultural context of Valencian society. The deadline for submitting projects is 17 April to 13 May.

The aim of this call is the selection of projects for the elaboration of MOOC and OCW subjects of quality by the teaching staff of the Universitat de València.  In the case of MOOCs, PDIs and research staff from other universities or research centres may also participate, as well as professionals of recognised prestige, provided that the group is headed by full-time PDIs from the Universitat de València, and that at least one third of the group is in PDI format from that university.  The administration and services staff (PAS) of the Universitat de València may also join these teams.

Since the 2008 academic year, the Universitat de València has made a firm commitment to the publication of educational material in digital and open format, which took the form of several calls for Open Course Ware (OCW) between 2008 and 2016, and two calls for Massive Online Open Courses (MOOC) in 2016.

The Open Course Ware (ocw.uv.es) of the Universitat de València is a repository of open-access teaching materials corresponding to subjects from the current UV curricula.  The MOOC courses are distance learning courses based on open, free and online access to knowledge, and aim to reach as many users as possible with a participative and collaborative methodology.  The Universitat de València considers it a priority and strategic to participate in this initiative, and therefore proposes the design of a series of actions, grants and incentives to encourage the creation and development of quality MOOCs.

Applications will preferably be processed via the ENTREU platform.
