In this new edition, the Consell Social will award the distinctions in six categories: prize for the University-Society collaboration trajectory, directed throughout the University of Valencia (in a different field than the R & D); Alumni Plus award, divided in turn into two modalities: one that highlights the academic excellence of up to five students of the University and another to the professional, academic and business excellence of former students of the public institution with a track record that demonstrates an exemplary contribution to society; award for teaching excellence, in recognition of the professionalism of the teachers linked to the educational institution; research and development award that values ​​actions and collaborative projects in R & D between groups of the Universitat de València and institutions; award for university management that will help improve research in university management and good administrative practices of the PAS of the Universitat de València; and another category to go to recognize to a chair and to the company of the Universitat de València the name of the prize to the chairs of the Universitat de València.

The candidacies for the different awards of this XXIII edition of the Awards are presented in the Register of the Universitat de València, addressed to the Consell Social, before November 23.
