Open Registration for the Cañada Blanch Award 2018 for a mobility stay in the London School of Economics

The Vice-principal for Employment and Formative Programmes of the Universitat de València has opened the registration period of the Cañada Blanch Award 2018. It consists in a stay in the London School of Economics. The award is intended to 2017 or 2018 graduates in Business, Business-Law, Law, Political Sciences and Public Administration, History, Economy and International Business.

The Award Cañada Blanch Foundation-Universitat de València offers €7,000 to finance a three month mobility period in London, ease the access to the formative programme and get in touch with researchers of the English institution.

The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) was founded in 1895. It is considered as one of the best universities in the world in the field of Social Sciences. It has an international and cosmopolite environment. It hosts more than 9,500 students that come from more than 140 countries and speak more than 100 different languages.

The jury of the Award will assess the request taking into account the academic transcript, the curriculum of the candidate and the accredited knowledge of the English language. There will be a pre-selection. Then, those who are chosen will have to present a work programme to develop in the London School of Economics. It can consist in attending workshops, seminars, conferences or establishing relationships with the different departments of the educative centre based on the interest of the award-winners.

They will count with the support of the teaching body of the Universitat de València and the London School of Economics to present their working programme.

Cañada Blanch Foundation

It was created in 1970. The Cañada Blanch Foundation has its origins in a donation of a Valencian entrepreneur whose name entitled the foundation. The donation aimed to promote culture, help young students and manage cultural activities (particularly in the fields of research, knowledge, social debate and arts) both in the Valencian Community and in the United Kingdom.
