Photocall in the Humanities Library to raise awareness of women archeologists

Photocall de Dones i Arqueologia
Professor of Archaeology at the Universitat de València has set up a photocall to make the women archaeologists of both the academic institution and the world visible. The stand will be located, between 21 March and 17 April, in the Humanities Library, at the Blasco Ibáñez Campus.
In this same library, in the 'Raconet de la de la Biblioteca d'Humanitats' a selection of books on Women can be found: Prehistory and Antiquity
The proposal put forward by the women professors and women researchers of this department is people to take a photo and hang it on social networks with the hashtag #DonesiArqueologia (women and archaeology) and also, if they wish, to make a comment.
During the IWD (International Women’s Day) week the photocall was set up in the hall of the Faculty of Geography and History and the comments on the networks became part of a contest that gave away a set of books from the department.
The Department of Prehistory, Archaeology and Ancient History organizes every year during the week of IWD various actions to raise awareness of women archaeologists, one of them has been an EditaDona to introduce and update in the Wikipedia names of women who have dedicated themselves to this field of research.
