Next Monday, 16th of May, Alumni UV will resume the plants workshop organized in collaboration with the Botanical Garden of the Universitat de València. This month the session will be about medicinal plants, specifically the aloe vera, a plant native to Africa with large fleshy leaves full of benefits for the skin. Therefore, during the workshop, in addition to learning about its blooming and farming, its medical and cosmetic uses will also be discussed, and the participants will make a homemade cream.

The registration period is open until May 15 and has to be done through this application.

Also next week on Friday 19th, Alumni UV will reach the stars after a two-year hiatus due to the health situation of Covid-19. In collaboration with the UV Astronomic Observatory, the most crucial annual activity that the university group organises comes back: the Stars Night. This activity, which has the support of the Department of Astronomy and Astrophysics and of the Faculty of Physics, opens the doors to the public to take them to a little known and very attractive science. The registration period is open until May 18 and can be done in this link.

On the other hand, Alumni UV has planned a visit to the Centre Cultural La Nau, the historical building of the Universitat de València to meet first-hand the rich architectural, artistic and academic heritage it holds. It will take place on 25 of May and you will have to register through the application, which will be operational from 16 May.
