The Podiatry Clinic UV offers free interventions to the people affected and implicated in the DANA It is essential to receive a treatment of the feet and toes infections, presenting special attention to the next measures:

The infections can appear when there are infected wounds and they make contact with water, specially dirty water.

This way, the type of boot used is also really important because they must be tall and impermeable. Due to the difficulty to find adequate material, some volunteers have been using bigger or smaller sizes, which only increments injuries.

Above all, is fundamental to take into account that, in case of having a wound, it must be treated as soon as possible because the risk of over infection is high.

From the Podiatry Clinic from the Universitat de València, we want to thank most sincerely the compromise of the volunteers that, with their implication and effort, have been helping the affected areas by the DANA. The adoption of new measures of prevention is essential to protect their health, specially in a risk context for the feet. We continue to offer support and assistance to guarantee the podiatry health of all who collaborate in these labours of recuperation and we ask our volunteers to contact with the Clinic to ask for a date for their free chiropody.
