The Cultural Centre La Nau of the Universitat de València continues its debate and online conversations programming within the framework of WebinarsLANAU, with a new session under the title ‘Presente y futuro del periodismo cultural’ (Present and future of cultural journalism). The webinar will count on the presence of the head of Culture of Levant-EMV, Joan Carles Martí, and the head of culture of Valencia Plaza, Carlos Garsán, who will discuss the current state of cultural journalism in today’s context of the pandemic. The act will be moderated by the Universitat de València’s cultural journalist, Magda Ruiz Brox, and will be held on Thursday 12 November at 07:00 p.m.

The three of them will discuss on the different aspects and keys of a speciality that has always reclaimed its own space in the field of information: cultural journalism. Although theatres, bookshops or galleries were closed throughout the confinement, culture did not stop. On the contrary, it found new formulas to keep us company: individuals and institutions drove countless cultural initiatives, film premieres sneaked in online platforms due to the closing of cinemas, and podcasts made the unusual quarantine more pleasant. Culture emerges in all its forms and journalism is always here to train the sense of smell, to take a look at the reality and to search for the best way to explain it to us. The session will be held through the platform Google Meet. Prior registration is required and free on https://www.uv.es/general-foundation/en/education/webinarslanau/presentation.html.
