Presentation of a book Comunicar y marcar la diferencia. Testigos de jóvenes periodistas valencianas

A book is a compilation of stories of 30 female journalists who graduated from the Universitat de València and narrate their experiences, views, and reflections on the place of a woman in journalism nowadays.
Conference Hall of the Faculty of Philology, Translation, and Communication hosted a presentation of a book edited by the professors Josep Lluís Gómez Mompart, Dolors Palau, Adolfo Carratalá and Rafael Miralles and produced in collaboration with the Department of Language Theory, Equality Unit, and UV Editorial.
The act was presided by the principal of the university, María Vicenta Mestre; the dean of the Faculty of Philology, Translation, and Communication, Amparo Ricós; editors of the book, Dolors Palau and Adolfo Carratalà; amd the coordinator of the Degree in Journalism, Carolina Morena.
The project was initiated during the meeting Comunicar y marcar la diferencia: testigos de jóvenes periodistas tituladas en la Universitat de València (2000-2017) (Communicate and Make a Difference: Testimonials of Young Female Journalists Graduated in Universitat de València (2000-2017) ), which took place on 17 April 2018.
Comunicar y marcar la diferencia. Testigos de jóvenes periodistas valencianas (Communicate and Make a Difference: Testimonials of Young Valencian Female Journalists) opens with a word of an expert professor in Gender and Communication of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Joana Gallego. The book collects all testimonials of 16 UV female graduates who participated in the discussion of that meeting. It also adds 14 more voices of other UV graduates in journalism to compile 30 chapters of female experiences, views, and reflections on the place of a woman in journalism nowadays.
The presentation of a book ended with a round table discussion about journalism and equality moderated by María Iranzo and involving Ana Pardo de Vera, Laura López, Laia Mas, and Carolina Salvador.
