The professor Pablo Oñate has been designated new member of the board of the International Association of Political Sciences (IPSA)

Pablo Oñate is a professor of Political Science and Management of the Universitat de València. He has been designated member of the Executive Committee of the International Political Science Association (IPSA), whose new president is the professor Marianne Kneuer of the Hildesheim Universität (Germany). The turnover took place in the 25th World Conference of Political Science in Brisabane (Australia) at the end of July. Oñate is the only Spanish member of the new board.

IPSA is a world organization founded in 1949 under the umbrella of UNESCO. It promotes researching and teaching activities in the field of Political Science, in cooperation with the ONU. Professor Oñate will be in charge of the activities linked with the reform of the statutes of the organization, the promotion of the academic freedom and the organization of the next world conference that will take place in Lisbon in 2020.

IPSA is formed by governmental institutions, international associations, national associations of Political Science and individual partners. It organises world conferences of Political Science and publishes some of the most prestigious journals of the field.
