The Rector of the University of Valencia Mª Vicenta Mestre, and the people participating in the event, presented the works and highlighted the role of the Book Fair, PUV and "the transfer of knowledge, one of the axes of university activity".

At 6 p.m., the Museum Room 1 of Jardines de Viveros, a large group of people attended the presentation of five of the latest novelties published by PUV in collaboration with other institutions.  At the event they presented ''Fabra, Moll i Sanchis Guarner.

The presentation, carried out in the context of the 54th edition of the Fira del Llibre of València, consisted of five interventions: one by the rector of the Universitat de València (UV) Mª Vicenta Mestre and four presentations of the works by Antoni Ferrando, Joan Romero, Rosa M. Gregori Roig and Tobies Grimaltos, respectively.

Mª Vicenta Mestre highlighted the role of the Fira which, coinciding with the organising team of this year's edition, she described as "the most feminist, vindictive and transversal", a statement supported by an organising team with 94% women - she pointed out. In addition, she defined Publications Service of the Universitat de València (PUV) as "an indispensable tool for communication, knowledge transfer and dissemination both within and outside our large university community".

In his speech, Antoni Ferrando, professor emeritus of the UV and author of 'Fabra, Moll y Sanchis Guarner' highlighted the careful edition of the work he presented, a text that "gives an account of the linguistic, historical and civic dimension of the task of codifying Fabra and of the adaptations made by F. de B. Moll y M. Sanchis Guarner", in the commemoration of the 150th anniversary of the birth of Pompeu and Fabra, and thanks to the collaboration of the Conselleria of Education, Research, Culture and Sport, the Department of Culture of the Government of Catalonia and the Conselleria of Culture, Participation and Sports of the Balearic Islands Government.

Joan Romero, professor of Human Geography at the UV and director of the collection Territorial Development Series 'Papers', to which belong 'Geography of waste in Spain' and 'The Valencian Society in transformation', commented on essential aspects of these investigations such as the intersecting connections that guarantees an exact radiography of the recent past and the projection of the future. The first of the texts presents "a geography of waste throughout the Spanish State by the hand of great experts in the various areas analysed" and the second offers "an updated radiography of Valencian society that helps to understand the basic aspects of its structure and the dynamics that have been followed over the last few decades".

Dr. Rosa Mª Gregori explained the details of 'La Vall d'Uixó en el temps de la lloctinència de l'infant Martí (1372-1396)', an edition prepared by the author with the collaboration of the Vall d'Uixó Town Council and made up of a collection of 297 documents that "allows us to better understand the social and political history of the aljama (Moorish quarter) of the Saracens of Uixó at the end of the 14th century" and which, as she indicated, "gives us an idea of many aspects of life at that time".

Finally, Professor of Philosophy Tobies Grimaltos, editor of Joan Fuster: indagación, pensamiento y literatura' presented "five studies that deal with very diverse aspects of Fusterian production, in a rich journey, but always under the guidance of the inquisitive thought that the writer embodied in his literature."
