Rafael Chaves, awarded by the Escuela de Estudios Cooperativos od the UCM due to his career as researcher and lecturer

The Ecuela de Estudios Cooperativos of the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM) has granted the lecturer Rafael Chaves the 8th ‘Award for Research and Education regarding participating organisations’, which belongs to the category of Better Career Paths. The award ceremony will take place on the 8th of March in the Complutense University of Madrid.

Chaves receives this award due to his widen career as researcher and lecturer nationally and internationally.  He does also because of his role as editor in CIRIEC-Espanya, Revista d'Economia Pública, Social i Cooperativa, in which his works, according to the organisation, have been decisive in achieving the appreciation that he currently enjoys as a researcher.  Moreover, he deserves it, since he has a responsibility position in the International Centre for Research and Information on the Public, Social and Cooperative Economy (IUDESCOOP) of the Universitat de València and the International Centre of Research and Information on the Public Social and Cooperative Economy of the CIRIEC-International, in which he was the header.

Furthermore, the last September, the lecturer Chaves was elected as a member of the Expert Group on Social Economy and Social Enterprises of the European Commission as a representative of CIRIEC.
