The Universitat de València, through the SeDi (Information and Consumer Services for Students), opens on Thursday 3 of May the registration for summer schools: “La Nau de les Xiquetes i els Xiquets”, y “La Nau Jove”. The children of members of the university community (administrative personnel, teaching and researching personnel, and students) will have priority to have access to these services, as well as the participants in the previous editions. Children that don’t have a direct link with the university can participate too, but the limitation of placements will be considered.

La Nau de les Xiquetes i els Xiquets” is a programme of educative leisure for 5 to 12-years-old children (born from 2006 to 2013) that will take place in July. Just like in previous editions, there is an overarching element that inspires all contents. In this way, from 2 to 31 July they will do a trip to “the country of games: traditions and games of our lands”. During this adventure, Valencian traditions and customs will be taught by means of popular games, sayings and songs that have been maintained thanks to the oral tradition. They will also know the traditional professions. They will become artisans and will craft wonderful products with typical Valencian materials.

There is an offer of 450 placements distributed as it follows: 175 at Campus dels Tarongers; 175 at Campus de Blasco Ibáñez and 100 at Campus de Burjassot-Paterna.

La Nau Jove is a place of education and active joy in the free time. It’s a programme that includes formation and fun that is intended for 13 to 16-years-old students (those born between 2002 and 2005). 90 places are offered.

In both cases, the registration is carried out through ENTREU, and will be opened from the 3rd to the 13th of May for the children of the members of the university community, the collective Alumni UV and young people who have participated in previous editions. The general public will be able to sign from 14 to 23 May.
