Registration open for the educational offer of the Martínez Guerricabeitia Collection

From Thursday 20 October, the registration of the educational offer of the Martínez Guerricabeitia Collection of the General Foundation of the Universitat de València is opened. In the academic year 2016-2017, there will be four courses on specific English, exhibition projects, artistic mediation and heritage, cultural management and social networks.

The registration has to be made online in http://www.fundaciouv.es/cursos, where all the information can be found. If you have any doubts, you can send an email to cursos_cmg@fundacio.es.

Places are limited, and the university community and the members of the group Alumni UV have a discount at their disposal by presenting the university card.

They are courses of 10 hours which can be validated for 1 open credit, and the ones of 20 hours can be validated for 2 credits.

Offer
The course ‘English for art historians’, which will be held for the first time this year, will be taught by professor Jorge Sebastián of the Universitat de València, from the Department of Art History, and it needs a B1 level or equivalent for its realisation. It will be held on 28 November and on 1, 5, 15, 19 and 22 December, from 15:00 to 18:30.

In February it will take place the 3rd edition of the course ‘Planning of exhibition projects’, led by the expert Rubén Pacheco, technician in the conservation and management of cultural heritage, and organiser and coordinator of the exhibitions. The course will be held on 13 and 15 October, from 16:00 to 19:00, and on 20 and 22, from 16:00 to 18:00.

In its third edition, the social educator Elizabet Català, expert in art therapy, will give the course ‘Artistic mediation: social action through art’, on 6 and 7 March, from 16:00 to 19:30, and on 8 March, from 16:00 to 19:00.

The last programmed course in this offer is ‘Heritage and cultural management: new professions for social networks’, which reaches its 6th edition this year. The training will be done on 8 and 9 May, from 16:00 to 19:30, and on 10 May, from 16:00 to 19:00, by professors Jorge Sebastián and Chimo Soler, historian and member of the Board of Directors of the Internet Society Spain (ISOC-es).

All the courses will be held in the training room of the building of the General Foundation of the Universitat de València, in Amadeo de Saboya 4, except for the course of artistic mediation, which will be held in the Cultural Centre La Nau (in Universidad 2) in the room Seminari B on the third floor.
