The life of the Valencian Country since the end of the dictatorship until democracy and the Statute of Autonomy was full of resistance from the extreme right wing, the birth and the death of many testimonial parties eager for votes, struggles to achieve the power of the party and a place in the electoral list and the rebirth of a progressive nationalism obstructed by the Blaverism of the far right, who turned to physical violence and unjustifiable regression.

The creation and unification of socialisms, the team UCD (Union of the Democratic Centre), the ideological confrontation at the heart of the PCPV (Communist Party of the Valencian Country), the collapse of UDPV (Unió Democràtica del País Valencià and PSPV (Socialist Party of the Valencian Country, the secret pacts inside and outside the parties, the projects that never succeeded and the way people hindered each other in order to rise to power. Many of these facts can be found in this book, which shows a clear violent transition that was deliberately opaque. That’s where the title comes from, since it gathers the most famous facts of this complicated period, as well as the most hidden ones. The book appeared for the first time (1982) in Fernando Torres Editor.

Jesús Sanz is a journalist graduated in Philosophy. During the Francoist Dictatorship, he worked for clandestine media (Mundo Obrero, Radio España Independeinte/La Pirenaica, the ones from the Communist Party) and others during the democracy: Diario de Valencia, Agencia Logos, Cal Dir, Valencia Semanal, Arreu; and in Radio Nacional de España (RTVE) as a constitutional and political journalist.

Besides, he was an advisor for the Presidency of the Valencian Council before the creation of the autonomous regional governments and a responsible for information at the Mostra València Cinema del Mediterrani. He was a political prisoner during the Dictatorship and the co-founder of the Unió de Periodistes del País Valencià. He was accused and absolved in democracy for writing articles about the extreme right wing. Later, he was awarded with the Libertad de Expresión award. He is also a union member of CCOO (Workers' Commissions) and writes reports for socio-political groups. Jesús Sanz is the author of the book ‘El movimiento obrero en el País Valenciano (1939-1976)’.
