The running of a Company explained through the roman literature, the topic of the Santiago Posteguillo’s conference
He was considered the best writer in 2015 by the Generalitat Valenciana, Honorific Ambassador of the University Jaume I and he was awarded with Alumni-Plus prize in the XXI edition of the Universidad-Sociedad Prizes organised by the Consell Social of the University of València. These are some of the distinctions that Santiago Posteguillo has achieved. He is also philologist and the next speaker of the programme Las Conferencias de ADEIT. He will explain the relationship between the companies and Rome. His conference will take place in the Fundación ADEIT next Wednesday 29th of November of 2017 at 19 hours.

Rome, literature and company: three vertices of the same triangle is the tittle of Posteguillo’s conference. He will relate a «roman past» with the business field so Posteguillo will explain that the companies and the commerce «have been, are and will be the motor of the world and the human relationships». How can we understand how important these two aspects are for the humanity?, asks the author. That is why Posteguillo proposes a different explanation: we have to known the importance of the commerce and the business explained by the literature and the ancient Rome Empire. He will analyses some examples taken from Dickens, Jane Austen, Julio Cesar, Trajano, Escipion and so on.
Posteguillo is the author of ‘Africanus, the consul’s son’, ‘The cursed legions’ and ‘The tradition of Rome’, some books that are not only read in Spain but also in Colombia, Mexico, Argentina, Ecuador, Venezuela, Uurguay, Chile or United States. His publications have been translated to Polish, to Italian, to Catalan and some more translations are coming. Since 2008, all his books are in the 200 most sold novels in Spain (showed in Nielsen sales index) and his novels have been between the top ten most sold.
Santiago Posteguillo will sign his books after the conference so the public will have the opportunity to buy them in a Grupo Planeta’s stand that will be in the ADEIT’s Foundation.
What is the programme ‘Las Conferencias de ADEIT’?
It is a free cycle of lectures and free debates about the most interesting topics for both the business sector and the university community, organized by the Foundation ADEIT University-Enterprise. They are aimed to professionals of the business sector and company technicians, university students, teachers, research personnel, as well as representatives of the Public Administration.
