Sagunt, next destination for the Erasmus in the Territory programme

This Saturday 26th of October students of the Erasmus programme of the Universitat de València will have the opportunity to discover the heritage and cultural values of the capital of Camp de Morvedre. The rest of visits, with touristic and cultural approach, designed with the participation of the corresponding city councils, will take place in Els Alforins and Xàtiva.

This Saturday 26th will take place the second of the tours of the autumn edition of the program Erasmus in the territory, the destination will be Sagunt.  The students will visit its historic centre, where they will be able to see the Roman Theatre, the Castle, the Jewish quarter, the church of Santa María and the Plaza Mayor. In addition, at lunch they will have the chance to taste typical dishes.

The first visit took place on Saturday 28 thSeptember to Cullera and the Albufera where about 50 students attended, the following excursions have been scheduled for Saturday 16th November (Els Alforins) and 30th November (Xátiva). These excursions have a ludic and formative aspect, because the itineraries that have been organized aim to show to the students, in a relaxed atmosphere, the Valencian culture, the gastronomy, the landscapes... and definitively the great patrimonial wealth of the Valencian territory.

The Erasmus in the territory programme has been organised by the Universitat de València, through the Office of the Vice-Principal for Territorial Projection and Society and the Office of the Vice-Principal for International  Relations and Cooperation, in collaboration with the Language Centre of the Universitat, the city councils of Cullera, Sagunt, Xàtiva, Moixent and the Association of winegrowers and producers of Terres dels Alforins.

The Erasmus and international students studying this year at the Universitat de València can register for as many routes as they wish. The visits include transport, insurance, food (local cuisine) and guided tours in the municipalities as well as on the routes.
