At the beginning of the second semester, around 700 Erasmus students will join Universitat de València to conduct their international mobility period during the second semester of the course 2017-2018.

The Office of the Vice-Principal for International Relations and Cooperation with the support of the Office of International Relations organizes several welcoming events to provide students a first contact with the university.  During these sessions they will be informed about the academic institution, activities, facilities and services that they can use during their mobility period.

Sessions are mainly intended for Erasmus students. The Universitat de València is a leading receiving institution as it ranks the third place on the European Scale. International students from non-European universities will be participating as well. Non-European students participating in the Erasmus programme are also expected to participate.  Universitat de València has been participating in this new programme for two years. It allows students from a wide variety of countries (Russia, Tunisia, Serbia, Armenia, South Africa or China, among others) to participate in Erasmus.

In order to ameliorate the cultural and social integration, the University organizes other activities as well, such as Tastallengües. It will take place on February 1 at the Centre Octubre de Cultura Contemporánea. This event intends that national and international students meet in a linguistic and culinary exchange which includes music performances.

Some faculties also organize their own welcoming events for those students who are enrolled in their degrees.
