The Tennis Federation and the UV sign an agreement to promote university tennis
The Valencian Community Tennis Federation (FTCV) and the Universitat de València, through its Sports Service (UVesports), have signed an agreement to create a framework of collaboration. Their goals are to promote tennis and its related specialties in the university sector.

This agreement, signed by the president of theFTCV, J. Francisco Vicent Caudet, and the principal of the Universitat de València, María Vicenta Mestre Escrivà, established a framework of joint action that will allow to develop specific projects aimed at promoting tennis, pickleball and beach tennis among the university community.
A stable framework of collaboration
With this agreement, both entities will formalise concrete deals to settle on action programmes, research and development projects, as well as training and educational initiatives.The most important collaboration projects are:
- Carrying out joint research projects and programmes.
- Collaborating in training technicians and research staff.
- Organising training sessions and activities to promote tennis.
- Granting students the chance to do their internships at the FCTV.
- Mutual advising on matters related to tennis and its specialties.
Commitment with the university community
The FCTV will give discounts for federative licenses, referee and sports technician courses aimed at the university community and students who hold UV sports or access cards. Moreover, the federation will lend sports material in the joint events and will publish the university’s teams results in regional, national and international competitions. As for the Universitat de València, it will provide access to its courts, as long as it is possible, for extraordinary events. Furthermore, it will promote advantages offered to the community and will collaborate in official competitions and informational sessions.
With this strategic alliance, the Valencian Community Tennis Federation and the Universitat de València consolidate their commitment to promote university sports, encouraging education, research and training in tennis as a tool for academic and social development.
