Three athletes of the Universitat de València in the first Spanish Championship of Weightlifting

The Universitat de València will present its athletes to the first Spanish University Championship (CEU) of weightlifting, that will take place in Salamanca on 18th and 19th May. The Valencia athletes will compete with the bests of Spanish universities in a category that for them is a debut. At the same days, Murcia hosts the National Taekwondo Championship.

Three athletes of the Universitat de València will go to Salamanca, two men and one women. Héctor Aragón Martínez (77), student of Medicine, and José Montó Sanchis (77), of Dietetics and Nutrition, will participate in the second round of male weighing on Saturday 19th, at 10:30h. Irene Ruth Pedrayes Núñez (75), student of Economics, will compete in the fourth round of female weighing, at 15:30h. The competition, organised by the University of Salamanca, will take place at the University Sports Centre Miguel de Unamuno.

On the same dates, 18th and 19th May, the Universidad Católica de Murcia organises the CEU of taekwondo. It will take place in Los Alcázares and the Universitat de València will present ten athletes.
