On Thursday, gathering with Elvira Lindo at La Nau

The writer and journalist, Elvira Lindo will participate on Thursday, 3 October, in a gathering at La Nau Cultural Centre, organized by the Narrative Classroom of the Universitat de València. Under the title ‘Universo Lindo. 25 años de una novelista’, the ceremony will take place in the Senate, at 19:15, and will be moderated by Purificación Mascarell, writer and professor of Literary Theory at the UV, along with Cristina García Pascual, coordinator at the Narrative Classroom.
La Nau will take in a reflection around Elvira Lindo’s literary career, one of the most influent voices of the Spanish contemporary narrative. From her work ‘El otro barrio’ to her last novel ‘En la boca del lobo’, Lindo has explored deeply resounding themes in the spectator through her unique style and her capacity to picture daily life with sensibility and accuracy.
In this gathering 25 years of her career will be approached, during which she has not only been a writer but a journalist and a screenwriter. This meeting will be an opportunity to have a close up of Lindo’s work and her impact in our current literature.
October programming of the Narrative Classroom UV
After the activity dedicated to Elvira Lindo, the programming of the Narrative Classroom UV will intensify during the month of October with many different activities at the La Nau Cultural Centre of the Universitat de València.
On 22 October (18:00), Màxim Huerta will accompany the writer and journalist Juanjo Braulio to have a chat about his novel ‘En el nombre de Borgia’, a historical thriller about Cesar Borgia, his extraordinary life and his cruel end.
Two days after, on 24 October (18:00), Martí Domínguez, director of the magazine Mètode, will join Maxime Henri Rousseau, head of the Institut Français of Valencia, on the gathering ‘¿Sigue vigente Voltaire en la era de la inteligencia artificial?’.
Finally, 30 October (19:00), the philosopher and essayist Javier Gomá and the journalist Pedro Vallín will close the month with a meeting titled ‘Verdades penúltimas’, as the book with which these two friends with different professions will reflect on the world’s state today.
All talks will be of free and limited access.
