Two economics researchers analyze the impact of the coronavirus crisis on the university community

Isabel Pla and Mar Moncho, professors at the Faculty of Economics, are developing the research project 'Work-Life Balance and Covid19 at the UVEG' to study the impact of the crisis caused by the COVID-19 on the university community in their personal life, work, study and care times. To do this, they have drawn up a survey that volunteers can fill in until June 30, and which can be completed in 10 minutes.

The global coronavirus pandemic has caused numerous population changes due to the confinement imposed by the state of alert in order to stop the spread of the virus. This has led to a new reality, particularly in the university community, which this study aims to analyse.

The research, promoted by the professors from the Feminist Economics Research Unit of the Department of Applied Economics, is divided into different phases. In the first, three different surveys have been carried out aimed at the three groups at the Universitat de València: teaching and research staff (PDI), administration and services staff (PAS) and the student body.
