Universitat de València holds the Erasmus+ Sessions 2025, centre of the European debate on academic mobility

UV reaffirms its international leading with these sessions as the university housing the most Erasmus+ students and one of the ones with most students traveling to other universities.

Universitat de València will become the neuralgic centre of European academic mobility by holdig the Higher Education Erasmus+ Sessions from 23 to 26 September. Organised byEducation Inernationalisation Spanish Service (SEPIE), the event gathers around 300 representatives of educative institutions from Spain at the Faculty of Phylosophy and Education Science in order to share their experience, present good practice and reflect on the future of the Erasmus+ Programme.

During the sessions, key topics will be addressed, like digitalisation of mobility processes, inclusion and the role of European university alliances. The ESCI Day opening the event will revolve around the Inintiative of the European Student ID Card design to improve te student experience in mobility by providing interoperative digital solutions.

Universitat de València will have a special participation with its good practice in theBlended Intensive Programmes, a modality combining in-person and online education, and sharing theFORTHEM Allianceexperience promoting collaboration in research, education and knowledge transferring on a continental level.

Universitat de València Principal Mavi Mestre stated that 'our university understand that international mobility isn't just an individual opportunity but a collective commitment. Each Erasmus+ student becomes an ambassador of European cooperation and the engine of social change for both their communities of origin and destination'.

Head of the SEPIE Unit of Education José Manuel González manifested that 'these sessions art the starting point of a new phase for the Erasmus+ 2025 projects revlving around quality and impact of mobility in higher education'. He added 'The increasing funding will allow institutions to face the European cooperation challenges with more guaranteed success. Erasmus+ is a key tool for our universities to lead the future of digital an ecological transformation while also reinforcing their role in the global context'.

The Erasmus+ 2025 programme predicts a record investment of 337.5 million euros in Spain, funding 4538 mobility projects for over 153,000 students and professors. This economic push reinforces the role of higher ducation institutions as a way of cooperation, innovation and educative transformation on a continental level.

This date reaffirms Universitat de València commitment with a connected, inclusive and global education and places it as a key institution to design the future of European academic mobility. Erasmus+ 2025 will not be just a meeting point but a platform to showcase UV leading position in the international stage.
