University of Valencia libraries will offer a room reading service from September 14, with a maximum capacity of 50%.

The health situation forces us to take extreme precautions in the services offered to students and teachers. We must avoid crowds, therefore, we recommend that students and teachers use our loan service with prior reservation, and that they stay in the libraries for the shortest time possible and never if they are ill or have symptoms compatible with COVID 19.

In compliance with the recommended safety and hygiene standards, the libraries will provide their reading positions in morning and afternoon shifts. When accessing the library, the staff will lend one reading position per user, which can be occupied from 8:30 a.m. to 1:45 p.m., or from 4:00 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. At the end of their shift, the patron must leave the library and take all their belongings.

Cleaning and disinfection of the facilities will be carried out after each shift. Remember that in the library the safety distance of 2 meters between users must be maintained, and that the use of a mask is mandatory for as long as the patron remains in the library.

Furthermore, in order to use libraries safely, patrons will not be able to use books on shelves, scanners, photocopiers, or computers.

The use of the University of Valencia reading room is restricted to people with a UV university card.

We continue to offer the consultation service in the room of books and documents excluded from loan by appointment, also for users outside the University. You can make an appointment with the library from the following form.

With compliance of these measures, the University libraries open their rooms in optimal security conditions, in addition to allowing traceability in the event of contagion by COVID-19.
