The Centro Cultural Casa O’Higgins in Lima (Perú) hosts the exhibition ‘Mujeres Maestras del Perú’ (Female Teachers in Peru) with which the celebration of the centenary of the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP) starts. The exhibition is framed within the artistic and educative project ‘Mujeres Maestras’, which is developed by the professor of the Universitat de València, Ricard Huerta, within the proposals of the Grupo Creari de Investigación en Pedagogías Culturales (GIUV2013-103) and the Institut de Creativitat i Innovacions Educatives.

The show gathers artistic works in different formats: paintings, audio-visual with interviews to Peruvian teachers and child drawings in which the children of the different schools of Lima portrait their female teachers. Casa O’Higgins is a cultural centre located in the historical centre of the capital. It is an important cultural space in the city in which artistic, scientific and cultural projects related to university researchers are presented.

On the occasion of the Cooperation Agreement between the PUCP Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú and the General Foundation of the Universitat de València the project ‘Mujeres Maestras del Perú’, which is supported by the Centro de Investigaciones y Servicios Educativos of the PUCP, is presented in Lima. The project has a cooperation aid from the Office of the Vice-Principal for Internationalization and Cooperation of the Universitat de València.
