The Universitat de València and the Valencian Anti-Fraud Agency organise in Alzira a conference on integrity and public ethics

The Universitat de València and the Valencian Anti-Fraud Agency (AVAF) organise on Friday, May 13th, in Alzira the 3rd UV-AVAF Conference with various round tables where integrity and public ethics will be addressed.

The conference is free and requires previous registration through this link. It will be held at the Cultural Centre of Alzira. The main conference 'Ética pública, poder público y comunidad política en España' (Public ethics, public power and political community in Spain) will be given at 9:30 AM by José Luis Villacañas, full professor of Philosophy at the Complutense University of Madrid, director of several publications and writer of an extensive work of books on philosophy and history (about fifty). This conference will be presented by Joan A. Llinares, director of the Valencian Anti-Fraud Agency. Previously, at 9 AM, Alzira’s mayor, Diego Gómez, and the director of the AVAF will inaugurate the conference.

After the main conference, and throughout all morning, members of the Valencian Anti-Fraud Agency and professors of the Universitat de València will address integrity and public ethics, essential topics for the organising institutions. Cristina García Pascual, full professor of Legal Philosophy of the Universitat de València, and Ana M. Fuentes Eugenio, director of Fundación por la Justicia and vice-president of the AVAF Participation Council, will participate in the first table, ‘Ética y responsabilidad en el ejercicio de las funciones públicas’ (Ethics and responsibilities in the performance of public functions), at 11 AM. The debate will be moderated by Víctor Almonacid, director of the Agency’s Prevention, Training and Documentation. Ana M. de la Encarnación Valcárcel, professor of Administrative Law at the Universitat, and Antonio Penadés, president of Civic Action and member of the AVAF Participation Council, will participate in the second debate, which will take place at 12:15 PM.

Furthermore, this second table, ‘Ética y gestión pública’ (Ethics and public management), will be moderated by Anselm Bodoque, in charge of the AVAF Training Service. The conference will be closed by the Vice-Principal for Culture and Society of the Universitat de València, Ester Alba.

The conference is organised by the Universitat de València (office of the Vice-Principal for Culture and Society and Faculty of Law), the AVAF, Alzira City Council and Alzira, Valencian Cultural Capital 2022.
