The Universitat de Valènica condemns the terrorist acts in Catalonia and expresses its solidarity with the victims and their families

The purpose of the Universitat de València, according to its statute, is the intellectual and material development of the people, the knowledge and the peace. As a public institution, the Universitat de València has repeatedly expressed through its governing bodies its position against the violence use and it has condemned all the terrorist acts.
The Universitat de Valènica condemns the terrorist acts that have taken place in Barcelona and Cambrils and expresses its solidarity with the victims and their families as well as the recognition to the security force and emergency service and the sensitivity of the citizens that have mobilised in this difficult moments.
As a member institution of the Vives Network, the Principal of the Universitat de València has expressed condolences to the Principals of the Catalonian universities on behalf of our university community.
Moreover, the Universitat de València invites the university community to join the minute of silence that has been organised by the Valencian Government for Friday at the Manises Square in València.
