The Universitat de València is present on the 2019 edition of the Guadalajara International Book Fair (Mexico), the largest Spanish-language book fair in the world, and the second most important in global terms.

This fair opened its doors the past 30th November and ended on 7th December, along with the other university publishers that make up UNE, Unión de Editoriales Universitarias Españolas (Union of Spanish University Publishers).

In this year’s edition, in addition to reinforcing the presence of its publications, the UV has chosen for the promotion through social media of its publications. This way, the volume of direct sales increased in what is the largest book fair in Spanish.

The FIL was founded 33 years ago by the University of Guadalajara as a cultural festival in which literature is the backbone. Its program involves authors from all continents and in different languages, as well as it offers a space for academic discussion on current issues.

FIL activities are carried out throughout the city of Guadalajara and its University, in the fields of music, art, film and theatre.  In its 2019 edition the guest country is India and the activities also include the gastronomic dimension of this region. It can be assured that this festival transcends literature to become an event of international influence.
