The Universitat's athlete Jaume Almenar, selected for the Football-Cerebral Paralysis World Cup

Jaume Almenar, an Economics student at the Universitat de València, has been selected to represent Spain in the Football-Cerebral Paralysis World Cup, which will be held from 27th April to 17th May in Salou.

Almenar is in his fourth year of GIB (International Business), doing his internship at DLQ International Consulting SL and his TFG at the Department of Applied Economics. The previous year he did an Erasmus stay at IT Carlow (Carlow, Ireland).

In adapted football he participates in the Liga Nacional de Fútbol 7 PC with the Levante UD Foundation (Levante UD PC). At senior international level he began to be called up in 2016 for the qualifier for the World Cup held in Vejen (Denmark). The team qualified for the 2017 World Cup in San Luis (Argentina).

In 2018 he was called up for the European Championships in Zeist (Netherlands) and in 2019 he went to the World Championships in Seville.
