The Universitat de València's Employment and Entrepreneurship Forum came to the Faculty of Philology, Translation and Communication on 31st March, in a day that hosted round tables, workshops and fifteen stands of companies and organisations from the education, research, publishing and communication sectors.

Aimed at the Faculty of Philology, Translation and Communication's degree's and master's degrees students, as well as its graduates, the Forum offered different advantages to those who register.

The meeting was scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m., in the Faculty's assembly hall, with the institutional opening and the inaugural conference given by Paloma Chen, a freelance worker specialising in intercultural issues, which was presented by the Vice-Dean and Head of Communication and Participation at the Faculty, Dolors Palau.

Then (10:45 a.m.), the same hall hosted the central round table of the day, which tried to respond to the professional and entrepreneurial opportunities in the fields of Philology, Translation and Communication, through the testimonies of active professionals such as Lluís Cascant, À Punt journalist; Cristina Doménech, Atresmedia community manager; José Pérez, of the Chair of Conversational Business of the UV; and Vanessa Izquierdo, from the UV Centre of Languages. The debate was moderated by the Faculty's professors Sergio Maruenda, vice-dean and head of Undergraduate Studies, and Begoña Clavel, coordinator of External Practices.

Job opportunities of companies and entities
The Faculty's hall hosted, from midday onwards, the face-to-face meeting with fifteen companies and organisations from the educational, research, publishing and communication sectors, both public and private, which interacted with students from their stands, in search of university talent, offering them different job opportunities.

The afternoon activity took place in different classrooms of the centre and started with a workshop on personal branding given by technical staff from UVjob. Then, a second workshop on professional visibility on social networks, with the intervention of the company Big Translation managers, close the day.

The Employment and Entrepreneurship Forum is an initiative of UVjob, organised through the Vice-Principal for Employment and Training Programmes in collaboration with the participating centres and faculties, and its main objective is to promote the employability of future graduates of the Universitat de València.
