The Observatori Cultural of the Universitat de València is organising the seminar "Decrease, art and ecology" on Tuesday 12th April at 6 p.m. During the activity, which will take place in the Sala Matilde Salvador of the Universitat's La Nau Cultural Centre, there will be a debate on the global energy crisis, the climate emergency and the role that art, aesthetics and the humanities can play in the eco-social transition that a large part of the public is calling for.

The debate will include the participation of Antonio Turiel, scientific researcher at the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC); José Albelda, professor of Art and Ecology and co-director of the Master in Ecological Humanities, Sustainability and Eco-social Transition (UPV-UAM) and Juan Bordera, scriptwriter and journalist specialising in climate and energy. The seminar will be moderated by Raúl Abeledo, academic director of the Observatori Cultural of the Universitat de València and presented by the Vice-principal for Culture and Society of the Universitat, Ester Alba.

The round table will address issues such as the global energy crisis, climate change, the planet's relationship with finite resources and decrease as a possible solution to change the way we produce, consume, move, feed ourselves and, in short, how we relate to the planet.

To attend the seminar in person, registration is required via www.uv.es/webinarslanau. This activity will be broadcast online on the Universitat de València's La Nau Cultural Centre's YouTube channel (registration is not required).
