The University will bring four male fencers and four female fencers to the competition, which will start at 8:30 on Saturday 1 April with the male épée confrontation, where Antonio Carles Rams will participate. During the afternoon, around 14 hours, the female épée confrontation will take place.

On Sunday 2, the tournament will restart again at 8:30 and the modalities of foil and sabre will be celebrated during the whole day in both categories. In male foil, the Universitat de València will be represented by Jorge Comas Pérez, José López Navarro and Víctor Cervera Morales. In female foil, the fencers will be Paz Ferrer Cantó, Ana Tébar Fuentes and Kinga Kosycarz. In female sabre, Belén Iglesias Martínez will participate.

The team selector of the Universitat Javier García Delgado admitted that in this tournament “the options are complicated”. Nevertheless, he is expecting to reach a position among the first eight ones in foil modality, where the Valencian fencers could reach the podium.
