The University and the Red Cross encourage labour integration of people who have difficulties to enter the labour market.

The Principal of the Universitat de València, Esteban Morcillo, and the Provincial President of the Spanish Red Cross in Valencia, Rafael Gandía, have signed an agreement to promote strategic alliances standing for labour integration of people who have difficulties to enter the labour market. This way, both institutions will collaborate in researching issues, training activities, dissemination and consolidation of a legal culture that guarantees human rights.

On behalf of the Universitat de València, the General Secretary, Maria José Añón; the Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Law, Javier Plaza; the director of Clínica Jurídica of the Faculty of Law, Ruth Mestre; the Director of Clínica de Extranjería, Pilar Fernández and the Director of Clínica Penitenciaria of the Faculty of Law, Asunción Colás have attended the event. On behalf of the Red Cross, the Provincial Secretary, María Ruiz; the Provincial Coordinator, Marcos Haro; and the Red Cross Autonomous Responsible of Employment, Paulina Gómez.

The Red Cross develops the project “Reto Social empresarial. Alianzas por la inserción laboral”, whose objective is to promote inclusive labour markets in a local environment. It also develops the project “Puentes hacia el empleo-Itinerarios por la igualdad”. This project intends to improve the employability of women in risk of exclusion by generating strategic alliances to encourage equal opportunities in the labour market.

In this sense, the University and the Red Cross develop lines of action to promote activities related to training and research, as well as the consolidation of processes that guarantee the human rights in people who have difficulties to access de labour market, in which members of the university community can participate.

The University has agreed to promote and assemble these actions through the innovation project Clínica Jurídica of the Faculty of Law.  Particularly, you can participate actively in the training courses to improve the possibilities of integration and enrolment of excluded people by helping them to know in situ the demanded requirements and skills in the labour market.  The University will cede occasionally its Clínica Jurídica room and will act as a tutor of the training process of Clínica Jurídica students who are going to participate in the training actions organized by the Red Cross.
