The inauguration will be attended by José de Lamo, Director General for Equality in Diversity; Helena Rausell, Vice-Principal for Equality, Diversity and Inclusive Policies at the University; and Albert Moncusí, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences.

Next, activists Luz Quiñonero and Piro Subrat will talk about Valencian dissident identities in the Transition. Prior to the event, from 15:30 to 16:30, a meeting will be held with LGTBI organisations, democratic memory associations, relevant figures for the memory of our community, professionals in research, dissemination or creation, as well as university organisations and groups working on sexual diversity. The meeting will serve to present the objectives of the Armari de la Memòria, as well as the project to build a Network from this service, counting on those entities and people especially linked to or interested in the recovery and dissemination of LGTBI memories who wish to be part of it. These conferences, which are organised in collaboration with the five Valencian public universities, are intended as a starting point for the recovery of LGTBI memories and aspire to construct a specifically Valencian history of repression and sex-gender dissidence. Five sessions, dedicated monographically to different themes (struggles, violence, normativity/dissidence, community, and health and culture), will take place from 29th September to 6th October in the cities of València, Alacant, Elx and Castelló de la Plana, which can be attended in person or by streaming.
