The University takes the Ibero-American conferences about science, technology, innovation and higher education
La Nau Cultural Centre, the historical building from the Universitat de València, has taken on Friday, 11 October the Ibero-American conferences about science, technology, innovation and higher education. We talk about preparatory activities XXIX Cumbre Iberoamericana of Heads of State and of Government that will take place in the Ecuadorian city of Cuenca the next 14 and 15 November.

The program, organised by the office of the secretary of Higher Education, Science, Technology and innovation of Ecuador and the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities of Spain, in coordination with the Ibero-American office of the general secretary (SEGIB), has consisted of two panel discussions.
These sessions have permitted to show and put in common the articulation of the public political tools of the Ibero-American countries on the subject area of higher education, science, technology and innovation, as well as the progress of the efforts for the closing of the breaches that affect the equity in the knowledge systems.
The celebration at the Universitat de València, has talked about the vision of the Ibero-American universities before a changing world, in which the Principal of the Universidad de Guadalajara (México), Ricardo Villanueva; the Principal of the Universidad Nueva de Lisboa, João Sàágua; the Principal of the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba (Argentina), John Boretto; the Principal of the Universidad Nacional a Distancia (España), Ricardo Mairal; the Principal of the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (España), Amaya Mendikoetxea have participated. A debate that was well moderated by the Principal of the Universitat de València, M. Vicenta Mestre.
Previously, on Thursday 10, the Palacio de la Exposición, took the panel discussion “El talento científico sin vallas”, in which the astronaut of the European Space Agency, Sara García; the integrant of the Red de Asociaciones de Investigadoras y Científicos Españoles en el Exterior (RAICEX), Eduardo Oliver; the researcher of the Universitat Politècnica de València, Valeria Katherine; and the ambassador of Chile and Italy, Enio Vivaldi, participated.
