The University of Valencia hosts the act of constitution of the Network of Valencian Public Universities for Equality and Diversity

The five Valencian universities signed the document establishing the Network of Valencian Public Universities for Equality and Diversities at the event, held in the Assembly Hall of the historic building of the University of Valencia (La Nau Cultural Centre).

At the event, which was attended and closed by the vice-president of the Valencian Regional Council and Minister for Equality and Inclusive Policies of the Valencian Generality, Aitana Mas, the five Valencian public universities have signed a collaboration agreement which is expected to last four years and aims to formalise joint work on equality and diversity issues within the framework of the challenges established by the new Organic Law 2/2023, of 22 March, on the university system (LOSU), the 2030 Agenda and the SDGs (especially 4, 5 and 10).


The five Valencian public universities were represented by the Rector of the University of Valencia M. Vicenta Mestre, the Vice Rector for Art, Science, Technology and Society of the Polytechnic University of Valencia M. Salomé Cuesta Valera, the Rector of the University of Alicante Amparo Navarro, the Vice Rector for Social Responsibility, Inclusive Policies and Equality of the Universitat Jaume I Elsa González and the Vice Rector for Inclusion, Sustainability and Sports of the Miguel Hernández University of Elche Raúl Reina.


This important event, which took place at 1 p.m. in the Board Room of the historic La Nau building, has among its objectives to highlight the role of universities in the implementation of inclusive and equality policies, establish consensus guidelines, act in a coordinated manner, identify issues of interest and promote exchange and collaboration.
