The University of Valencia participates in the 2nd edition of the European Conference on Archaeology

These days aim to bring archaeology closer to the entire population, especially the most childlike public. In this edition marked by the health emergency, activities have been moved to the digital medium. Disseminationvideosfull of examples and curiosities about prehistory, archaeology and ancient history have been made available to all, so kids and adults enter to the world of archaeologists.

Apart from audiovisual content, the Department of Prehistory, Archaeology and Ancient History also offers the possibility of aguided tour, with prior registration, to the Iberian city of Kelin (Caudete de las Fuentes) and its museum collection. It is a visit suitable for all ages, free and that will take place on Sunday, June 21, in several visiting shifts, between 10h and 13h. Following health standards, the visiting groups will be of 10 people, prior registration will be done injearq@uv.es(indicating people and time slot) and they will be able to enjoy the materials that were recovered in the site and check what daily life was like.

The European Conference on Archaeology is held in cities throughout Europe, organised by the National Institute of Preventive Archaeological Research (INRAP) of France since 2010. All participants partner to help discover the world of archaeology and to discover to the public all the secrets of this discipline activities for all people take place, including 3D reconstructions, virtual visits, events, visits to archaeological sites...
