The University wins 18 medals in CADU on orienteering, squash, sport climbing and archery

The Universtat of València was represented in the Autonomic Championship of University Sports (CADU) in the competitions of orienteering, squash, sport climbing and archery, every one of them played this week. The UV athletes gathered 18 medals, besides the three other medals won at the International University Tournament in Basque Pelota held in Álava, Basque Country, Spain.

The first triumphs harvested this week were of the UV Orienteering Teamthat closed the competition becoming regional runner-up undergraduate, behind the University of Alacant and outplaying the Miguel Hernández University. In addition, runner Cristobal Camarasa got to the highest of the podium winning the gold medal.

On Squash, the UV players lead to the autonomic second place behind of UPV and ahead of the UA. Furthermore in the male category the sportsman Federico Pérez won the bronze medal.

The gaining of medals continued with the sport climbingteam of the UV that, despite not having achieved any medal by teams, in the female category, Sara Vives won the silver medal and in the male category Anier Gozalvez won the gold medal.

Archery Team, autonomic champion

The Archery Team of the Universitat de València, ended its game in the Regional University Sport Championship (CADU) becoming the undergraduate autonomic champions by teams. In total, the team won six gold medals, three silver medals and three bronze medals.

International University Tournament in Pelota, Zabalki

The UV athletes set the bar very high in the “International University Tournament in Pelota, Zabalki”. On the frontenis competition they won the gold medal both in the male category and in the female category. Besides, they received the silver medal in “pelota paleta”.

Spanish University Championship (CEU) in Cross-country running

Regarding the CEU in Cross-country running, the athlete team of the UV did not get any medals, finishing their participation fighting hard for the 4th place for the boys and the 7th place for the girls.

We keep in mind that with the Cross-country running, the universities gave the green light to the national level university competitions.
