The UV and the Major University of San Andrés from Bolivia renew their collaboration

This agreement expands the collaboration between both institutions for another eight years allowing the university cooperation on the teaching and research fields in the three stages of superior education.

The rector of the University of Valencia, Maria Vicenta Mestre; and the former rector of the Major University of San Andrés, Teresa Rescala have portrayed the recent renewal of the collaboration agreement signed by both institutions in 2000, allowing to strengthen the academic relationships that already exist as well as establishing new ones.

The agreement, that is renewed for a period of eight years (4+4), will facilitate the inter-university cooperation on the teaching and research fields through the comparison of the results of the educational experiences, the combined work in congresses, seminars, etc, the exchange and collaboration of the teaching staff and the student body, among others.

In the event there was also the vice-rector of Internationalization and Multilingualism, Carles Padilla; and the head professor of Work and Social Security Law in the UV and representative of the UV in this agreement, Cayetano Nuñez.

Major University of San Andrés

Founded in 1830, it is the second oldest university in Bolivia. Of public ownership, it owns 13 faculties scattered all over the department La Paz in which over 80.000 students are educated every year in knowledge fields such as pure sciences, engineering, health sciences, social sciences and humanities.
