Publishing in open access brings many benefits to the researcher. We emphasize the maximization of the impact and the conservation of the exploitation rights of its production.

This year, Crue Spanish Universities and the Higher Council for Scientific Research (CSIC) have signed an agreement with Elsevier to publish in open access articles by researchers from Spanish universities and the CSIC that have been accepted as of January 1, 2021. The Wiley publishing house has also signed an agreement with CRUE that confirms the commitment of Spanish universities to Open Science, for which the University of Valencia will soon sign the license.

In addition, the Servei de Biblioteques i Documentació of the University of Valencia has negotiated in recent years with the main publishers and they have obtained discounts for the UV community to publish in the following open access publishers and journals:

Cambridge University Press

The last agreement of the Library and Documentation Service is with the Cambridge publishing house. The research staff of the University of Valencia will be able to benefit during 2021 from the agreement with CUP that allows them to publish free of charge in its gold and hybrid open access journals (Read and Publish Agreement Program).

Multidisciplinary Digital Publishing Institute (MDPI)

The agreement of the Universitat de València allows the research staff to reduce the costs of publishing in the journals of the Multidisciplinary Digital Publishing Institute (MDPI) by 10%.

Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS)

The University of Valencia library subscribes to the PNAS journal and, as an added value, authors who wish to publish their articles in Open Access (OA) can benefit from an institutional discount of $ 350.

BMJ Case Reports

BMJ Case Reports is the BMJ journal specialized in clinical cases. To publish without fees, you must ask for a code (Fellowship Code) at the library.

Sponsoring Consortium for Open Access Publishing in Particle Physics (SCOAP3)

The agreement signed by the University of Valencia with the SCOAP3 consortium since 2014, allows authors to publish research articles in 11 journals, related to Particle Physics, without processing costs.

You can find more information about these agreements on the research support portal.
