During the sessions, five thematic working tables are planned in order to tackle different aspects about the current situation of the park. ‘The symbol of progress’ is the title of the first table, that will be about the preservation of the natural spaces and the promotion of biodiversity in the park. The general rapporteur will be Mario Giménez, from SEO-BirdLife, and will also count on the collaboration and replies of Antonio Camacho, Tonyi Rodrigo and María Sahuquillo, moderated by the journalist Maria Josep Picó.

Maria José Viñals will be in charge of the second lecture, this one about the ecotourism, moderated by the journalist Anna Mateu, where will also attend experts such as Beatriz Santamarina, Paloma Mateache and Antonio Vizcaíno. The third table, ‘Recover the Albufera of the 60s’, will be about the quantity and quality of the water and the management model. Miguel Mondría, technical general manager of the company TYPSA, will be the general rapporteur of the table, chaired by Miguel Martín, and with the participation of Teodoro Estrela, Fernando Juan and Enrique Lapuente.

The agriculture will be the central axis of the fourth table, chaired by Bosco Dies, of the Assut Foundation and will count on the opinions of Juan Valero, Vicente Estruch and Teresa Cháfer, moderated by Enric Navarro.

During the second session, the table about spatial planning will be held, taking into account the urban pressures of the western territory of the park, the settlements of the population and accessibility and mobility matters, among other issues. Being the moderator Salomé Moreno, Joan Linares, Mar Muñoz and Josep Vicent Boira will broadly have a debate of Joan Olmos’ lecture.

As a conclusion of this symposium, a final debate will be hold in which the main conclusions about the five specified axis will be summarised.
