UV Sports Gala 2025

The gala was presented by actorNelo GómezandSaray Cerro who conducted the ceremony in an intimate and dynamic attitude, accompanied by charanga music that contributed to the festive mood. Reception and photocall started at 6:30 p.m. in presence of generalitat Valenciana General Director of SportsLuis Cervera Torres among other guests.

Head of the Sports ServiceAna Gómez Tafalla highlighted the dedication of the university sports community: 'I am very proud of the image left by Universitat de València students, it’s incredible. I want to thank their efforts and dedication. All of this would have never been possible without the coaches who helped win so many medals. I also want to thank the Sports Service. we wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for them and the UV. They allow us to enjoy, compete and train with all of their support and resources.'

Universitat de València PrincipalM. Vicenta Mestre mentioned the importance of the effort and anticipation of sports: 'University sports are a monifestation of our defining values as a public institution: teamwork, overcoming and respect. UV is the top university in Spain in competition participation and the first public university in results. Even more, male and female participation is equal, showcasing UV’s commitment with true equality in every aspect of university lifestyle.'

During the gala, the season was evaluated, going through the results on the autonomic, national and international levels. Coaches and athletes were interviewed to share their experiences, highlighting their accomplisments during the academic year. The act included several performances, with dance groupIllusion Danceand parkour danceRevolution School among others to bring dynamism and an artistic component to the celebration.

The event is organised by Universitat de València Sports Service and was streamed ontv.uv.es for all the university community and general public to join the gala from anywhere.
